If a Dishwasher Is Leaking
If a dishwasher is leaking water onto the floor during a cycle, stop the cycle if you can do so safely and shut off the water supply valve beneath the sink until it has been looked at. This is a different issue from standing water left inside the tub after a cycle finishes, which is covered below.
A Dishwasher That Won't Drain
Standing water at the bottom of the tub after a cycle is one of the most common Miele dishwasher repair calls we hear from owners specifically. Before calling, check that the drain hose is not kinked behind the unit and that the drain filter at the bottom of the tub is not visibly clogged with food debris; both are things a homeowner can check without any tools. If clearing the filter does not resolve it, the cause is usually the drain pump or drain valve, which needs an in-person look, since our technician has to diagnose and repair those components from inside the unit itself.
